The lives we lead are a conglomeration of both the complex and the simple. Our minds make order out of the chaos that surrounds us, is a part of us, is us; while the minimal, allows for thoughts and conflict to expand and penetrate to our inner being. It is only in the silence we can truly look at ourselves, investigate our emotions, relive memories and experiences. Within the silence our mind can be active, whether that be what is in front of us or the world as a whole.
In this modern age, where noise, people and speed are always a constant; the silence, the frozen moments, force us to slow down, listen to our own voice and respond to what is being said. There is information all around us, but much becomes ignored, lost and forgotten. In drawing from moments in time, true questions can be asked and analyzed.
