Leave the front door open

A silent drama exists in all households, one that ebbs and flows within the undercurrents of a family. There is a mystery, a secret, a façade that develops over time and every once in a while you can catch a glimpse into that world. I have become enthralled with the idea of what is going on next-door and trying to comprehend what I just experienced from their ambiguous narrative. Utilizing the backdrop of suburban and small town living, I take the ideal American dream and surround it with the cryptic realities perceived in the public-private space of the yard. The perceptions have centered around the uncertainty of what was witnessed, ranging from a feeling of a darker unknown to a sense loneliness and solitude.
